They call these mounds Salt and Pepper - obviously! The next day we drove to Port Augusta and had rain for the first time on the trip. We stayed overnight there. The petrol prices started to come back down at Port Augusta where we paid 98c/l at Woolworths. The next day we drove to Broken Hill and the rain bucketed down again. We stayed the night here and it turned cold again. As we had been here before and done all the tourist drives, we took off for Cobar.
