2004trip - Part 2, Alice Springs, Uluru,
Northern Territory .
Drove out to the gorges. Standley Chasm is one of the more popular walks
in the area and we got some great photos. In the last few years they have
built a restaurant, picnic area and carpark there. Standley Chasm was named
in honour of Ida Standley, Alice Springs first
teacher who worked at the nearby Jay Creek settlement in 1928/29. She also
taught in Alice Springs.
